DOXYGEN: Ulepení realitou s Annou Borovičkovou Ročkovou

DOXYGEN consists of lectures, workshops, discussions, creative workshops, and everything in between. Contemporary art, contemporary phenomena, contemporary personalities, and the contemporary moment. Evening gatherings at DOX, during which visitors can ponder questions and answers. Their own and those of others.

Doomscrolling, notifications, ads, trends, disasters, and memes—the digital space is constantly piling up and overwhelming our attention. A workshop with Anna B. R., who goes by the alias Ulepená, offers a chance to disconnect from social media for a moment and transform information overload into a creative activity combining media clippings, screenshots, headlines, personal texts, and images. The theme of the collages is precisely this disconnection. Just like media content, the collage—the medium Anna works with—combines visual materials and text.

The program loosely ties into the themes of the exhibition HIT BY NEWS, which we’ll definitely visit with Anna for inspiration. And we’ll tackle the uncomfortable question of how social media and the constant flow of information shape our identity, emotions, and the way we perceive reality.
